Joseph E. Westover 8.5 x 11" Xerox mission navigation chart titled Part I Navigation Track Chart dated April 1945, illustrating the flight paths of Missions 13–16 conducted by the Twentieth Air Force, 313th Wing, 509th Group. The map details takeoff and landing coordinates for the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bomb attacks, as well as subsequent missions. Boldly autographed at lower right by Westover.
Fine condition.
Joseph E. Westover (1911–1984) served as an officer with the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and was closely associated with the operations and documentation of the 509th Composite Group. His work contributed to the historic record of the atomic missions that marked the final chapter of the war.
