Joseph Westover, B-29 navigator, signed First Day of Issue Canadian cover commemorating World War II (1939–1945), issued November 10, 1989. The cover features wartime imagery and Canadian postage, postmarked Ottawa, Ontario, on the official day of issue. Joseph Westover signed the cover with a handwritten inscription identifying his service as navigator on the Nagasaki atomic bomb flight.

Joseph M. Westover Jr. (1921–2003) was a United States Army Air Forces navigator who served aboard the B-29 Bockscar during the Nagasaki atomic bomb mission on August 9, 1945. He was responsible for navigation during the mission that delivered the second atomic bomb used in warfare. After World War II, Westover remained associated with historical and veteran commemorations of the atomic missions.
