The cover features Canadian wartime imagery and postage honoring the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, postmarked Ottawa, Ontario, on the official day of issue.
Fine condition.
Francis Felix Thornhill (1916–2004) navigator of the 'Straight Flush,' one of seven planes of the 393rd Bomb Squadron of the 509th Composite Group that took part in mission to drop the world's first atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
