Dexter Masters autographed black and white 5 x 7” portrait photograph, boldly inscribed in black ink, “For Michael J. Robuck – with my very best wishes – Dexter Masters.” The photograph, stamped on the verso by Eric M. Morison, Photographer (Totnes, England), is mounted to a 7 x 9” backing board. A fine portrait of the noted author and advocate for nuclear awareness.
Near fine condition with a small blemish of red ink toward the upper left corner.
Dexter Masters (1909–1989) was an American author, editor, and anti-nuclear activist best known for co-editing One World or None (1946), a seminal collection of essays by leading scientists including Einstein and Oppenheimer warning of the dangers of atomic warfare. His 1955 novel The Accident further explored the human and moral consequences of nuclear science.
