William J. Brennan Jr. autographed 6 x 9” black-and-white photograph depicting a formal portrait of the Supreme Court Justice. The photograph is signed in blue ink along the lower margin. Accompanied by an autographed Columbus Philatelic Club stamp club essay sheet dated March 4–5, 1972, featuring a proposed stamp design honoring A. B. Graham, founder of the 4-H Club. Brennan’s signature appears prominently on the essay sheet.

William J. Brennan Jr. (1906–1997) served as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court from 1956 to 1990. Appointed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Brennan became one of the most influential liberal voices in the Court’s history. He was a strong advocate for civil liberties, free speech, and expansive interpretations of individual rights under the Constitution. His opinions continue to shape modern constitutional law and Supreme Court jurisprudence.
