Paul Calle signed First Day Cover commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, issued as part of the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum Milestones of Flight commemorative series. The cover features artwork depicting the lunar landing and Apollo 11 mission insignia, with period U.S. postage canceled at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, on July 16, 1979. Calle’s signature appears prominently in blue ink at the lower right.

Paul Calle (1928–2010) was an American artist best known for his detailed and historically accurate depictions of spaceflight. He worked closely with NASA from the early Mercury missions through Apollo, producing artwork used in official publications, exhibitions, and commemorative materials. Calle was one of the few artists invited to witness Apollo launches firsthand, allowing him to document the space program with exceptional realism.
