Offered is an original leaf (page) from The Holy Bible, Geneva translation, printed in 1606 at London by Robert Barker.

This leaf comes from the famed Geneva translation, first printed in 1579 and rendered here in quarto format. It features double columns of Black Letter text, with variant side notes in Roman type. This edition represents one of the final appearances in print of the Geneva version using the archaic Black Letter style. The Geneva Bible played a key role in Reformation-era England and would soon be followed by the 1611 King James Bible, also printed by Barker.

A rare and beautifully preserved fragment of one of the most influential English Bibles of the Reformation period.
