The cover features period imagery related to the early days of the war, paired with a World War II–themed Canadian stamp and an Ottawa, Ontario day-of-issue cancellation. Wiesenthal’s bold signature appears in blue ink along the lower right portion of the cover.

Simon Wiesenthal (1908–2005) was a Holocaust survivor best known for his postwar efforts to track down and bring Nazi war criminals to justice. After surviving multiple concentration camps, he dedicated his life to documenting Nazi crimes and advocating for accountability. Wiesenthal played a key role in the identification of numerous war criminals, including Adolf Eichmann. His work helped ensure that the atrocities of the Holocaust were neither forgotten nor ignored.
