Tom Ferebee group of three autographs including two signed cards—one inscribed “Bombardier Enola Gay 6 Aug. 1945”—and a third handwritten note dated November 18, 1996, responding to a collector’s request and affixed with several commemorative postage stamps, including one honoring the atomic bomb’s role in ending World War II.
Fine condition.
Tom Ferebee (1918–2000) served as the bombardier aboard the Enola Gay, the B-29 that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. A veteran of more than 60 combat missions, Ferebee was responsible for releasing the bomb “Little Boy,” an act that changed the course of history and led to the end of World War II.
