George R. Caron (1919–1995) was a United States Army Air Forces crew member who served aboard the B-29 Bockscar during the Nagasaki atomic bomb mission on August 9, 1945. He was positioned as tail gunner and eyewitness to the detonation, later providing firsthand accounts of the mission. Caron remained an important historical witness to the final atomic strike of the war.
