Each set contains five coins representing the states of Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Virginia. The Philadelphia and Denver sets are standard copper-nickel clad issues with P and D mint marks. The Gold Edition coins are layered in 24k gold, and the Platinum Edition coins are layered in pure platinum. Obverse type: Washington portrait. Reverse type: State-specific designs.
