The collection includes eleven silver wartime issues dated 1942-1945, which are composed of .350 silver and feature large mint markings above the dome of Monticello. The 1942-D semi-key date is present. Key dates including the 1938-D, 1938-S, 1939-D, 1939-S, and 1950-D are not present in the folders. Wartime silver compositions were utilized to conserve nickel for military production during World War II.
