Rare work by the great Italian historian of the Renaissance Orazio Torsellini
Torsellini traces the history of the holy House of Loreto (Santa Casa) sometimes called the house of Nazareth, venerated in the town of Loreto in the province of Ancona, whose historian (1544-1599) governed the Jesuit College after having directed that of Florence and the Roman Seminary.
A very old translation attests, as we know , that the house of the Blessed Virgin was transported by the angels to Loreto.
It is the truth of this miracle that the author sets out to prove.
