Georges Braque (1882 -1963) was a prominent 20th-century French painter, collagist, draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor. He studied at Ecole des Beaux-Arts. His most notable contributions were in his alliance with Fauvism from 1905 and his role in the development of Cubism.
