Koto-period wakizashi mounted in samurai-style fittings. The blade is signed Bishu Osafune Sukesada and dated Tembun 13 (1544). Sukesada was part of a highly regarded lineage of swordsmiths from Bizen Province, active primarily during the 16th century. The blade displays a well-executed gunome midare hamon and is in outstanding condition. The mounts are high-quality samurai fittings dating to the late Edo period (circa 1800s), featuring matching iron furniture, a custom tsuka, and a nashiji lacquered saya.
