Exceptional large katana from the Sue Koto period, housed in wooden shirasaya mounts. The blade is signed Bishu Osafune Sukesada and likely dates to the mid-16th century. The notably long blade features a Bizen-style gunome midare hamon, transitioning in places to koshi-no-hiraita.
