This 1881 United States Morgan silver dollar features the George T. Morgan design. The obverse depicts a profile portrait of Liberty with the inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM, thirteen stars, and the date 1881. The reverse shows a heraldic eagle with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, In God We Trust, and the denomination ONE DOLLAR. The coin is struck in 90% silver. There is no visible mint mark, identifying it as a Philadelphia Mint issue.
