About the artist: Ukrainian painter.
Sergey Nikolaevich Lysenko was born on September 15, 1921 in the city of Cherkasy region.
Member of the Second World War. He was awarded two orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Great Patriotic War and medals.
In 1952 he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (workshop of battle-historical painting). Teachers - K. Trohimenko, S. Grigoriev, G. Melikhov, V. Kostetsky, K. Eleva.
He worked in the field of easel painting.
Lysenko S.N. - participant of art exhibitions: since 1952 - republican, since 1958 - all-Union, since 1960 - foreign.
Main exhibitions:
1952 - XI-th exhibition of fine art of the Ukrainian SSR, Kiev;
1961 - Traveling exhibition of works by Ukrainian Soviet artists, Leningrad, Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn, Kharkov, Lviv;
1971 - Republican art exhibition "Physical Culture and Sports in the Visual Arts", Kiev;
1974 - I-st ??Republican art exhibition of works of artists-veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Kiev;
1982 - Republican art exhibition "The USSR is Our Homeland", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the USSR, Kiev.
