H:22cm W:27.8cm Weight:2730g This is a Qing Dynasty black lacquer gilding and inlaid mother-of-pearl dragon pattern food box with a handle. The main body is made of dark lacquered wood, and the gilding technique is used to paint the patterns of two dragons playing with a pearl and the sea and river cliffs. It is also inlaid with mother-of-pearl as decorative details. The handle and base are decorated with coiled flowers and geometric patterns. The overall craftsmanship is complex and magnificent. It was a practical vessel for the Qing Dynasty's noble class to hold food, combining both decorative and practical features.
