Framed: 35 3/4 x 55 3/4 x 2 1/2 in.Moderate deposits of surface dirt, dust, and grime; canvas is lined; passages of the canvas have been pressed due to the lining process; a vertical line of faint inpainting extending through the center to address a former stretcher bar line; under a very discolored varnish layer. Under UV light: extensive inpainting through the sky, with the largest area being approximately 7 x 7 inches in area in the center right, as well as what appears to be a repaired tear in the center left; inpainting along the upper edges; a few spots of inpainting scattered within the water.
