Lot description: One of Alex Chilton and Big Star's most sought after records; Big Star "#1 Record" a 1972 US pressing on Ardent Records catalog no. ADS-2803. This is version 2 of 3 Monarch pressings with "Steamroller Creation" in the trailoff. Also, consistent with this version, there is a hype sticker and a promotional sticker on the front cover. The jacket has a glossy finish and is in very nice condition - slightly bent bottom corners and the beginnings of ring wear. The inner sleeve is a generic white paper sleeve. The vinyl has some surface scuffs. This record has not been play tested.
