Lot description: The Clash "The Clash" 1979 white label promotional vinyl lp plus the white label promotional vinyl 45 that was included. The lp is a US pressing on the Epic label catalog no. JE36060 and the 45 is also a US pressing on the Epic label catalog no. AE7 1178. The lp jacket is stamped "For Promotion Only..." in the upper left corner. It is rare to find the original white label promotional lp with the original white label promotional 45 in a stamped promotional jacket! The jacket shows corner wear, edge wear, traces of ring wear, a spot of cover damage top center, spine wear at the center of the spine. The original lyric inner sleeve is seam split on all three seams and the splits range from 4 to 8 inches long. The inner sleeve also shows creasing and handling impressions. The lp vinyl has surface scratches on both sides, nothing deep. The vinyl has not been play tested. The 45 vinyl shows a surface scuff on both sides otherwise clean. The 45 sleeve is generic white paper and is also creased.
