c. 1820s, mahogany case with brass finials on the scrolled crest, turned side columns, scrolled apron, painted wood dial with Arabic numerals and floral spandrels, reverse painted lower glass panel depicting a house and river with boat is a replacement by Moberg (consignor commissioned the replacement tablet from Moberg about 25 years ago, painted on period glass), weight driven wooden works movement with pendulum and key, interior with original paper label "Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Conn."; 17 1/4"W, 32"H, 4 1/2"D---case in good overall condition with repairs and stabilization to base, small losses to veneer and other minor repairs, in working condition at time of inspection but not guaranteed (Inv. 2)
