Extremely rare Hixon/Sugar Quartz Clovis blade. Thin and well made, Motley appraisal at $4000-$4500 in 2011. Elongated, lance-shaped bifacial point fashioned from sugar quartz, measuring 7 3/4 in. Tapered blade that finishes in a fine tip with a broad basal end showing a darker band of material. Surfaces exhibit flake-removal texture and linear scars with slightly convex margins and a thin lateral profile.
