
1900s. Glass and lithographed cardboard. The Rock City Tobacco Company, as it was officially known, was a cornerstone of the Canadian tobacco industry since 1899. In 1902, the company acquired J.A. Blais et Compagnie in Lèvis Quebec and in 1903, as a result, began operating as Rock City Cigar Company. In 1903, they started producing the Golden Field brand of cigars, which remained a staple of their cigar offerings until the company's focus shifted to cigarettes in 1936. Embossed "The Brunhoff Mfg.
