Vintage Sterling Floral Band Ring, Sz. 7.5, 9mm Wide, 1930's-1940's. This is an older sterling ring with repousse floral tile like design around the entire ring. Wedding band or just a ring. It has a hammered styled edge on both sides. This is an older ring. This type of ring was more popular in Europe in the 1930's-1940's with wedding bands having a floral design around them. I have a friend in the UK whose family were jewelry makers then and now and their bands would have flowers around them - designed by the original maker. They did their's in gold with the design slightly changed. Since I have learned of those rings I have paid attention to that design, I was luck enough to have been gifted one of those rings - but in my estate travels I am finding older rings with similar designs, many have the European assay marks. This ring is simply marked sterling. It is in very good condition other than oxidation which can be polished back to bright and shiny. It is not signed by the maker only makred sterling.
