Vintage Southwestern Sterling Turquiose Ring, Sz 2.5, 4.0 gr., Post Mid-Century. Stone is an irregular ovalish shape at 11mm by 7mm, sawtooth bezel-set. The top setting of the ring is appx. 17mm by 11.5mm with a slight shadowbox design and stamped accents on the wider bse. The band is a split v shank at top at 8mm and appx. 2.8mm at the back of the finger. Heavy sterling with a rounded outer edge. 1970's-1990's. Not signed by the maker or marked. Tests as sterling. In the 80's when we went to Cheyenne, we would go to Frontier Days where local tribes would set up jewelry stands and sell similar rings, necklaces, etc. They were made by them but not marked. This is a possible origin of this ring given the weight of the metal used, could have been purchased from a sale venue similar to local festivals, etc., somewhere in the west. Great souvenier opportunities when you travel to that part of the country. This is not an important lightweight ring. Very good condition. (INV.EB72011.1X1 SS2237 J LD 8/20/20).
