Vintage Sterling Quartz Marcasite Ring, Sz. 3, Signed Uncas, early 1900's. This ring has a large quartz stone that is appx. 25mm by 15mm bezel-set over a wide base that has marcasites around the quartz,s et lower than the quartz. The ring is appx.35mm down the finger and 25mm across the finger. All marcasites are present and appear to be original. The ring is from the early 1900's. Unfortunately the quartz is cracked across the stone and though no movement in the setting it is raised higher on one side of the crack than the other - a jewelry could easily replace the stone. It could also be worn as is. The price is reduced taking this into consideration. It is marked sterling and signed with the Uncas (from Connecticut) maker's mark. Tested and is sterling. Weight of the ring is 9 grams. The ring is in very good condition other than the stone, typical vintage oxidation that can be cleaned and polished away. (W43022.2X2 SS7140 J LD 5/3/22).
