Vintage Sterling Garnet Marcasite Ring, Sz. 8.5, The ring ahs 9 red stones that test as garnet and sit slightly higher than the frame which is a halo of marcasites. There were three missing which have been replaced. This ring is not signed or marked but has been tested and tests as sterling. Weight is appx. 3.62 grams. The age is uncertain but it has the look and feel of an older ring and not the 1980's rings. Possiblly 1940's or earlier. It is 1-1/8" long down the finger and appx. 5/8" across the finger with a decorative split band at top that is 7.5mm wide and tapers to 1.5mm at the back of the finger. Good to very good condition with the stones replaced and does have oxidation that will polish away. (W91121.1X1 SS7189 J Ld 5/10/22).
