This vintage 14k gold pendant plays with the idea of utility and nostalgia in a really clever way. Shaped like a miniature belt buckle, it features a hinged mechanism at the top and a green enamel plate on the front. The inscription reads "STAT PARMENS CENTESM 5”which is a nod to historic talian coinage from the Duchy of Parma, where this phrase appeared on early 19th-century currency. The lettering is done in a stylized font that matches the whimsical shape of the plaque, framed in gold. t’s a compact object with a bit of playfulness built in. Whether worn on a chain or collected as an object, it definitely has charm and character.
