A spectacular Carvin French chrysoprase, pink sapphire, and pearl flower pendant, crafted of 18k gold.
The petals have a mix of smooth carved chrysoprase and pavé set pink sapphires. The soft green shade chrysoprase is shaped into flowing curves that mimic natural petals. The pink sapphires follow the petal contours, adding beautiful contrast to the design. A luminous pearl sits at the center where the petals meet. The 18k gold setting outlines the petals and holds the gemstones.
This chrysoprase pendant has a natural, flowing form with a mix of contrasting colors and delicate details. t’s a unique piece that brings together classic materials in an extravagant way.
The flower was made between 2000 and 2005 originally as a pin based on the availability of those gorgeous carved chrysoprase petals. For a while the Carvin French jewelers were figuring out what to do with them and finally decided to make a pin. There were only two pins made. Then later on someone changed it for a pendant.
The flower is made of carved chrysophrase, accentuated with pink sapphire and set with creamy color pearl in the center.
t measures 2 1/8" x 2" (5.5 x 5.2 cm).
The pendant weighs 40.1 grams.
t is stamped with Carvin French maker's mark and hallmark for 18 karat gold.
