A very rare large cylindrical tankard and cover with scroll handle. The lower section of the body has fluting set on a matt background for contrast. The centre front has an elegant contemporary armorial (Martial arms of Robert Wigget of Giest/Guist Norfolk c1632 – 1697 and his wife Dorthy Week c1654 – 1697. They were parents of Rice Wiggett of Guestwick high Sheriff of Norfolk in 1726) for importance. The lid is hinged with additional fluting for highlights.
