Description
Over 7/8" in height plus the suspension loop. Bronze, cast, and chased in detail as the crescent moon with baluster tips representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon. The field within the raised edges is occupied by a transverse hound's tooth line with raised points in the vacant spaces. Above is a medially ridged elongated cone, probably a celestial reference with significance now lost. Exceptional quality. Excellent condition with the 24karat gold overlay restored and mounted on an 18" modern gilt neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
