Description: French modernist lamp made in the 1950's by Elau , a French company since defunct , Elau lamps wasspecializing in electrical equipment and domestic appliances, Joseph Laurent created, in the early 1950s, a range of chrome metal lighting solutions for workshops and offices.The Elau no 42ter R lamp is adapted to brighly illuminate a restricted work area: sewing, drawing, watchmaking, jewelery ...
In 1956, the Laurent Enterprise became the Laurent Lourdes Company (Elaul), a name it still retains.
Size 16 " to 18" depending on angle ,rewired , good antique condition ,there is some scratches from normal use. Some light oxidation
The orginal socket has been replaced with a US standard piece.
