This features No. 19 and 23 from the Tableaux d'Histoire pour le Cours Elementaire series number 32 " les temps modernes " moderne time ,Bonaparte au Pont d'Arcole (Bonaparte at the Pont d'Arcole), depicts a legendary moment where General Napoleon Bonaparte led his troops across a bridge during the Battle of Arcole in November 1796 , the other side illustrate schooling before the f industrial era.
Widely used in schools because of their large format and their colorful imagery. Aided teachers in their lectures and captured the imaginations of students alike.
