Berlin Microscope by Messter, c. 1875
Signature on the tube "Ed. Messter Berlin", original lacquered brass, height 11 ¾ in., 3 eyepieces (nos. 1, 2 and 4), 3 objectives (nos. 4, 7 and one oil immersion), coarse adjustment, fine adjustment, swiveling condenser (with 2 aperture slides) and a pinhole condenser (with 2 pinholes) under the stage, tilting stand, mechanically and optically in good condition, attractive case, complete, all designated spaces in the case are filled with original accessories. – Messter microscopes usually have a metal plaque instead of a signature on the tube. This device is likely to be an early production from the early years.

Dieses Gerät dürfte eine frühe Produktion aus den Anfangsjahren sein.
