Francois Linke (1855–1946)A fine Louis XVI style gilt-bronze mounted mahogany center table with marble top, Paris, late 19th/early 20th centuryRectangular Breccia marble top above a frieze finely mounted with gilt-bronze female mask, caprine figures, floral garlands and musical trophies, raised on tapering square legs with ribbon-tied mounts ending in gilt-bronze sabots. One leg signed “F. Linke” to the circular cartouche mount. The exceptional quality of chasing and gilding consistent with mounts designed by Leon Message for Linke’s Paris atelier.
