About the artist: Ukrainian painter. Honored Artist of Ukraine.
Ivan Andreevich Tyukha was born on January 2, 1920 in the village of Vlasovka, Kiev region.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star, medals.
In 1952 he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute, where his teachers were S. Yerzhikovsky, A. Sirotenko, K. Yeleva, I. Shtilman, G. Melikhov, V. Kostetsky, V. Boldyrev, S. Otroshchenko.
Since 1951, I.A. Tyukha is a participant in republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions.
The first solo exhibition of the painter was held in Kiev in 1957.
Since 1958 - a member of the Kiev organization of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR.
He worked in the field of easel painting. Master of thematic paintings and landscapes.
In 1995 he was awarded the title "Honored Artist of Ukraine".
The artist died on March 22, 2000.
The works of Ivan Andreevich Tyuhi are presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine, USA, France, Canada.
