An antique hand cut crystal glass carafe from the American Brilliant Period.
Strawberry Diamond and Fan hand-cut design.
Oval punties ring the bottom.
The strawberry diamond with fans pattern was a very popular design and is shown in late 1800's and early 1900 catalogs such as Libbey, Dorflinger, Pitkin Brooks and Hawkes. More than half are not signed. No mark is shown.
This pattern is shown on page 25 in the 1897-98 Pitkin Brooks catalog
7 3/8" tall x 5.5" wide
Please see the slightly taller carafe if you'd like a similar pattern pair/ one for white wine and one for red! One for orange juice and one for apple! Excellent serving pieces for your table. Also handy as bedside water carafe.
