Lovely example of Bjorn Wiinblad's fantastical pieces for Rosenthal, featuring a corpulent figure among grapes welcoming a mythical character. Vibrant colors of lime green, blue, purple, and orange. Wiinblad explored the notion of good and evil, taking dark, often frightening subjects, and making them whimsical / comical by lightening expressions or revealing warm gestures, when the opposite is expected. This charger a great example of that style, with a smile on the figure's face as she greets the ominous figure.
