Vintage Indiana Glass, King's Crown Thumb Print Open Compote With a Wide Platinum Trim

Description

Wedding bowl in King's Crown pattern from Indiana Glass Co., traditionally used to carry the wedding cake saved by the bride and groom after the wedding. Also used as a pedestal fruit bowl or large candy dish. Round, pressed glass with thumbprint impressions and a broad platinum band painted on the lip/rim. 7" across the top, 7" tall, about 2 3/4" deep, 4 1/4 " at base of pedestal. These were made from 1959 to 1971.
