Description
1930 North Dakota School of Mines Pottery Bowl. It is a lovely mat blue color. The glaze is very nice and the symmetry is excellent. There are two "pin head" size white dots on the pot where it appears the glaze was missed, not a chip or crack. The blue color extends into the interior of the bowl. It stands 5.5" tall and 7" across at the widest point. The rim is 5" across. The stamp on the bottom reads "University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND" and the interior of the circle reads "Made at School of Mines N.D. Clay 1930". The signature of the artist is incised into the clay and reads "Maye R Huck or Mayer Huck 2237". On the bottom there appears to be a slight crack in the shape of an X but does not go through the pottery..
