Each set contains five quarters with aftermarket 24-karat gold plating applied to the original surfaces. Designer: William Cousins (obverse). Mint marks: Philadelphia or Denver. Design type: Washington obverse / Statehood reverse. The 1999 set represents the inaugural year of the 50 State Quarters Program.
