Large Group of Chinese Export Porcelain Canton Blue and White Plates, 1780-1830. Comprising one 6-inch berry bowl, four 7.125 to 7.375-inch bowls, two 9.75-inch soup bowls or deep plates, four 6-inch butter plates, twenty-one 7 to 7.5-inch plates and three 10-inch dinner plates. (35)Provenance: Nine of the 7- 7.5-inch plates affixed with a silver oval label printed "Capt. Abraham Kilham, Canton China Trade, Circa 1797, Beverly, Mass." These plates were brought to Beverly by Captain Abraham Kilham (1765-1834) or by his son, Charles Abraham Kilham (1812-1865).
