Burhanuddin Abul-Hasan Ali ibn Abu Bakr al-Marghinani ar-Roshidoni , better known as Burhanuddin al-Marghinani ( Uzbek: Burkhoniddin al-Marghiloniy ; September 23 , 1123 , Rishtan - October 29, 1197 , Samarkand ) - Central Asian thinker, learned philosopher , theologian , Islamic jurist-fiqih, who received the title of Sheikh-ul-Islam in the Islamic world .
The author of the fundamental work “Al Hidoya fi sharh Bidoya al Mubtadi”, or in short: “Kitab al Hidoya” - “Guide to the commentary on “Beginning for the Beginner (training)”. “Hidoya” (“al Hidoya”) literally means “guide”.
Written in the 12th century, the book is considered one of the most famous books on fiqh in the Hanafi madhhab .
