Colt Model 1877 Lightning Revolver

.38 Long Colt. 4.5" barrel length. SN: 84704. (Mfg. ca 1891) Blued and casehardened finish with checkered hardrubber Rampant Colt logo birdshead grips. Double action six-shot loading gate revolver with fixed front blade and topstrap rear notch sights. Top of the barrel is polished down with two-line address that is no longer legible. Circled {Rampant Colt} logo to left frame. Ejector rod head has been replaced with a simple cross hatch cut into it from the front. Firing pin replaced. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Good. Bore is Frosty with brown patina and some scattered light pitting throughout. Finish has been aggressively buffed with a gray to brown patina dominating overall. Grips well worn with checkering worn flat in various locations with loss of fine details to logos. Action fails to fully index cylinder or lock it in place.
