Description

Caucasian Shashka Sword

29.5" slightly curved single edged blade with 27" unstopped median fuller and 21.5" narrow fuller along the spine. Ricasso with {Star} and "U" marks and a later added engraved mark on the reverse that says "Sword of Allah". Overall length is 34". 4.75" grip with pinned figured wood grip scales with engraved German silver pommel cap. Wood scabbard covered in red Moroccan leather and fabric with a single suspension mount.

Condition
Fair to Good. Blade cleaned with scattered surface oxidation and age discoloration. Edge shows a moderate amount of tool marks from sharpening, tip may be reshaped. Blade is about 1"-2" short of full length, when compared to the scabbard body.
