Embossed Leather Belt with Sheet Brass Buckle

American Civil War

Currently sized for a normally 32" waist, overall length of leather portion of belt is nominally 36" and it is 1.75" wide. The belt includes a thick sheet brass buckle with clipped corners that is nominally 3" wide by 2" tall with a 1.68" long, narrow tongue soldered to the reverse. A brass wire keeper is riveted to the end of the belt and brass wire loops allow for adjustment.

Condition
Fair. Leather well worn and flaking with much finish loss and weakness. Belt has been torn in two. Brass with a nice uncleaned patina.
