World War I
Inert. 23.75" barrel length. SN: NSN. black painted metal finish with wood stock. Inert bolt action "Drill Rifle" intended to practice traditional rifle drill in training without using a real firearm. Item mounts 1903 pattern triple slings. Rear sight leaf has broken off while front sight remains intact.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition
Good. Black paint flaking overall with deep brown patina forming in losses. Further streaked patina forming to the bolt body. Stock has been retouched with OD green and brown paint, and shows scattered dents, chips, and handling abrasions. Action functions correctly for practice.
