
**DWM P.08 Luger Pistol Dated 1916
9mm Para. 3.9" barrel length. SN: 5449. Blued metal finish with Nitre blued and straw colored small parts mounting checkered walnut grips. Short recoil operated striker action toggle-locked autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Toggle shows DWM logo with the barrel extension date reading 1916. Further marks include WWI German {Reichsadler} to left breechblock and right barrel extension. German Gothic letter inspection marks in three places on the right barrel extension. Bore gauge mark to lower barrel reads 8,82. Left extractor marked GELADEN with safety showing GESICHERT mark. Serial numbers match on major parts but the left grip panel and hold-open latch are not numbered. Comes with two nickel finished magazines with wood plugs that have been sanded, and show no visible serial numbers, and most likely do not match. Comes with a flap holster with no visible maker markings, and uneven, likely replaced, belt loops. {C&R}

Condition
Good. Bore is dirty with jacket residues and verdigris that may clean to Bright with strong rifling throughout. Metal finish exhibits some pitting over barrel extension and along the frame, with signs of polishing and buffing to frame. Blued finish thinning to brown patina overall. Grips have some stains, worn checkering, and chipping. Holster with crazing, dust, and abrasions.
